651 New Transjakarta Buses Launched

PT Transjakarta is launching 651 new Transjakarta buses which consist of 600 single buses and 51 articulated buses today, Monday (4/18) . Launching itself is conducted by Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah, Director of PT Transjakarta, Budi Kaliwono and General Director of Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Unit, Sr. Comr. Risyapudin.

Yansyah disclosed it is a follow up of the meeting of coordination with Polda Metro Jaya, Bina Marga and other related units. This step was taken after the elimination of three-in-one, where there should be an increase in mass transportation. Today the new fleet immediately launched in order to encourage residents to switch to mass transportation.
"Additional bus is hoped able to attract people to use mass transportation. That's why we launch additional fleet today," he told.
